Charles Tomaro, “Yut”, 94, died, Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Genesis Health Care, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, he was the son of Joseph and Carmella (Pulsinelli) Tomaro. He was a lifelong Bound Brook Resident. He was a WW II Navy veteran. He worked for 40 years at Union Carbide Corporation in Bound Brook before retiring in 1983. After his retirement he worked for the Borough of Bound Brook for 13 years as the Parking Code Enforcer. He was a Communicant of St. Joseph Church , Bound Brook, a member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh V.F.W. Post # 2290, Manville, the Giles Biondi Post # 63, American Legion, Bound Brook. He coached the Bound Brook Little League “Congers” team for 15 years.
Charles was pre-deceased by his wife Congetta Petio Tomaro in 1992. He is survived by his 2 sons, Charles Tomaro and his wife Lori of South Bound Brook and Frank Tomaro of Landsdale, PA and his grandchildren Kristine, Frank Carmen, Holly, Amy and Peter.
Funeral services will begin 9:00 AM Friday, January 19, 2018 at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook. Visitation will be Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM. at the funeral home.
