Felice N. Colombaroni, 78, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. She was born in Bound Brook to her parents, Anthony and Carmella (Tavone) Nunziato. A lifelong resident of Bound Brook, she graduated Bound Brook High School, Class of 1954. Felice worked in banking for over 40 years retiring from Somerset Savings Bank, Bound Brook in 2002 as Manager of the Checking department to become a full time Grandmom and mentor to her beloved granddaughters. While there she was Treasurer for the Bound Brook Chamber of Commerce for over 20 years. Felice was very active in the community, volunteering at the Brook Arts Center for many years with Gerry Appel, who began restoring the theater, and Monday Nite Car Shows with the Downtown Merchants Association. In 1994 she participated in St. Teresa of Avila in Summit, NJ, youth group service project and trip to West Virginia, giving her an experience she never forgot, which included helping improve the lives of so many of the local people. She was a faithful communicant of St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook and a member of Court Gloria No. 462, Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed her monthly Class of 1954 reunion dinners at Chimney Rock Inn, and her monthly breakfast with retired co-workers at the Golden Corner. She loved every minute spent with her family, her friends, doing yard work, trips to AC with her sisters, cousins get togethers, and going to the Jersey shore.Felice was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert A. Colombaroni, who died in 1993, and who was the love of her life; brothers-in-law Edward Harvat Sr., Wayne Fisher Sr., Joseph Repka Sr., and great nephew Lawrence (Larry) Shultz. She is survived by her loving daughter, Marlene and her husband Ed Cornell of Somerset; her two cherished granddaughters, Katelyn Nicole and Karalyn Brooke; her loving sisters, Martha Harvat of Bridgewater, Geraldine Repka of Manville, Norma Fisher of Whitehouse Station; her brothers-in-law, David (Marie) Colombaroni, Albert (Jennifer) Colombaroni, her sister-in-law, Nancy Colombaroni, and so many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Felice and Bob were also proud Godparents of Barbara Harvat-Dugan, Edward Harvat Jr., Wayne Fisher Jr, James Lopa, and Lynne Koehler Capik.Funeral services will be 9:15 A.M. Monday, August 25, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, followed by a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church. Entombment will be at St. Bernard Cemetery, Rt 28 West, Bridgewater, NJ. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2:00 - 6:00 P.M. Sunday.
