After six days of conventions, I was amazed at how little enthusiasm and joy the GOP displayed. The Republicans totally ignored our brave troops serving around the world. The Democrats, on the other hand seemd excited and genuinely enthusiastic. Gabby Giffords lead a beautiful recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Almost every speaker saluted the armed forces.
Barack Obama made sure the party platform reflected his vision and goals and when there were things with which he did not agree he had it changed. Mitt Romney does not even have the moral strength and stature in his own party to have a platform passed that he agrres with 100%. One glaring example is that the GOP platform is for a complete ban on abortions, no exceptions. Romney claims that he is in faver of exceptions in cases of rape and incest.
Each convention had its bizarre moments, but the GOP had Clint Eastwood embarrasing himself and those of us watching in prime time. Some Democrats may have booed naming Jerusalem ans the capital of Israel (or were they booing the Almighty?) but at least that happened away from prime time.
I will vote for Obama. I am not impartial. But I honestly think the Republican convention was pathetic. I have never thought that before. 2000 and 2004 (GW Bush conventions) and 2008 (McCain) were impressive shows. 2012? a real dud for the GOP.
I will agree to disagree with you on this subject as I saw things completely oposite to what you saw. My vote goes to the Romney/Ryan ticket come November. The better choice to fix this country that Obama is destroying everyday he is in office.

"Agree to disagree"?!? That is no fun. I want you to call Obama a socialist and then I can imply that you are a racist. We each accuse the other of either hating America or being ignorant or both. Isn't that the point of these forums?
