I don't think anyone on this forum remembers the Bound Brook Oil-Less Bearing Corporation but I thought I would mention it here as both my Grandfather and Father worked for this company at one time. My Grandfather actually retired from this company around 1966 that I remember. I have his Gold Watch presented to him at retirement which also included a color tv console I remember for over 25 years of loyal service. I also remember BB Oil-Less Bearing to be located up on Lincoln Blvd in Middlesex as a kid and from what my father told me over the years before his passing Bound Brook Oil-Less Bearing Corporation was actually first located on the property between Church and John Street in Bound Brook facing Main Street. Today Pranzatelli's Electronics and the old Cals Esso Station sit at that site. From as far back as I can remember to the later 50's and early 60's where Pranzatelli's now sits was also a Used Car lot built up on a hill covered with white stone. I remember it vividly being the first Milk Machine that I ever saw was located between the Car lot and Cal's Esso. Below are a few pictures I was able to dig up of the Bound Brook Oil-Less Bearing Company.

Chevelle396 e-mailed me asking if I remembered it. I remember it on Linclon Blvd. but not in BB. I replied back to Chevelle396, that there was a bunch of stuff about the company on Google..

Chevelle396 also emailed me about it and I thought I had posted this info at some point in the past being I had the info but couldn't find it here in the Yesterdays Bound Brook As You Rmember Section of the forum. I emailed him back directing him to the forum for the information I had posted.

My father worked there as well as a machinist after the war before he worked for BB Public Works. I remember meeting him for lunch in the loading dock area. I recently found an old "tool chit" on ebay and bought it for my son - perhaps my dad once handled it?
Ironically, years later a friend of mine from Boston married a girl from PA. Her father owned the new, relocated Bound Brook Oil Less Bearing in PA!

Take care.
Cool Story. Do you know if the PA Company still exists?
