SAMUEL E. PATULLO AGE: 85 BOUND BROOK Samuel E. Patullo, 85, at rest on Saturday, December 26, 2009, at Raritan Health and Extended Care Center, Raritan. Sam was a lifelong Bound Brook resident and a 1941 graduate of Bound Brook High School. Born March 29, 1924, to Emelio and Anna Colucci Patullo, he and his brother Frank were the co-owners of Patullo Brothers Dry Cleaners and Tailors. They retired after 42 years in business in Bound Brook. A US Navy veteran of WWII, he served as a meteorologist in Alaska. He had also been a weather watcher for radio station WOR for many years. Sam was a member of the Bound Brook Relief Fire Company No. 4, and B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 1388, Bound Brook, the Carmelo Garribaldi Society and the Giles - Biondi American Legion Post No. 63. Sam served as a Councilman in Bound Brook for two years, then as Mayor for twelve. Surviving are his devoted wife, Josephine M. Patullo, son Kenneth and wife Gail, daughter Joann M. LaFleur and husband Timothy, grandchildren Jennifer P. Patullo, Danielle M. Jannuzzi and husband Richard, Matthew E. LaFleur and Andrew T. LaFleur and great granddaughter Samantha Jannuzzi, and his brother Frank J. and wife Genevie, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, at Bound Brook Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook.
