I am sure plenty remember Duke Island Park in Raritan. Remember the canoe rentals there? Every Summer to this day they have a Concert night on Sunday's. For those not in the know tonight Sunday The Dupree's are playing at Duke Island Park. Best thing about it is the concert is free as Somerset County puts on this event. I remember years ago seeing the Duprees at Duke Island. Let me tell you they put on what heck of a show and I highly recommend going to see them. Last week they had the Party Dolls. I couldn't make it and I am sorry I couldn't. Check out the Part Dolls on Your Tube. They are fantastic. Years ago I met Chubby Checker at Duke Island Park and also Mitch Rider from the Detroit Wheels. On many of the Sunday night concerts like tonights they have a well known oldies group there. For the people who like Country Western you shouldn't be left out. Don't have the schedule on hand this year but I am sure there is something there for you also.
