HS Sports

Maybe it is just my memory being old but I thought when I played Basketball in HS lots of kids came to the games. Now that I officiate BB up here in NH I find very few kids going to games. Is this just my selective memory?

I think you're right. I believe kids today have more things to do to keep them busy than we did as kids. And I don't think there is as much school pride as there was when I was in school.
A good night out on a Friday or Saturday when I was in school was to catch a basketball game or wrestling match at the high school and then a pizza at Chitches

Zach you are exactly right for most people who went to BBHS. Even after a night Football game or Teen Dance up at the High School everyone went to Chitches for pizza. Cheeze Pie $1.00 through the late 60's. $1.05 to take out which covered the price of the box. Those were the days. nod.gifhungry.gifchew.gif

I think some of it has to do with the fact that kids can sit a home in front of their computer and have the world at their finger tips... We had to actuality leave the house and live the world outside.. And when we walked the streets of BB through the 60's, we were safe in our little town. Now there are times walking in some areas that I don't feel safe as a adult.. I AM REALLY GLAD TO HAVE GROWN UP WHEN AND WHERE I DID!!!
