Does anyone remember a McDonald's wannabe called The Steer Inn? It was located on Rt 22 West in the Green Brook/North Plainfield area. I think burgers were around 20 cents each, fries 10 or 15 cents. I believe they were there for a short time in the mid 60's.

I remember Steer Inn. I use to go up there at night time once in awhile for a Cheese Steak back in the day. They were pretty good back then from what I remember. The last time I looked up at the building where the Steer Inn was located a Dunkin Donuts was there in its place. The Steer Inn was located above the West bound lanes of Rt.22 in North Plainfield.

Who remembers the Steer In on rt22 west bound lane in Plainfield... I had my first street race out of that place. It was against Mustang .. Won $10.00... Boy was I nervous.. My foot was shaking holding that clutch petal to the floor waiting for the starters hands to drop...

I merged the new Steer Inn thread into the Original Steer Inn thread posted by forum member (Zach) in October 2008 being we don't want to double up on any thread in this forum.
