The Leaning Tower of Pizza

Does anyone remember the Leaning Tower of Pizza?
Located on Rt 22 West in Greenbrook. I think they had pretty good food, can't remember clearly if it was or wasn't. Our music teacher, Mr Chersack took a couple of us there after we saw a Manard Ferguson concert at Rutgers back around '62 or 63.

Zach,
I use to love that place and the Pizza there. They definitely made a quality pie back in the day. If I remember correctly they had a large fish tank in the wall there. I hated to see that place go when it closed.

Didn't it burn down and then the place became a sushi restaurant?

I don't think so. I remember the Tower still leaning with no occupant for quite awhile until the Shushi place took it over.

I remember late one Saturday night my friends and I walked out of there after downing a pie or three, and this State Trooper comes flying into the parking lot, jumps out of the car, and yells, "Look out! It's gonna fall!" He was pointing to the "leaning tower". It took a while, but we were finally able to convince the guy that it was supposed to lean like that, that it was a take-off on the Leaning Tower of Pisa. He had never heard of THAT, either. I had the pleasure of trying to explain it to him.
