Does anyone remember the Polish Butcher across the street from where Dansak's use to be located on Talmage Ave? I didn't go in there but a hand full of times but it was a unique shop that served the local Polish population in BB at the time.
The butcher accross from Dansak's was owned by Steve and Stella Ponichitera. They had two children who attended BBHS, Steve Jr. and Marsha. I believe Mrs. is still living. I was fortunate to have known them as they were aunt and uncle of a good friend of mine. Got to go "behind the scenes" of the shop when I was young.
My aunt and uncle had that store and as dumb as it sounds there was no name for the store other than "S. Ponichtera" on the door. And yes my aunt is still alive.
