Lalaine's Women's Shop

Do any of you remember the women's dress shop, LaLaine's? Was located "downtown" on Main St.
Can't remember their names, but I think a husband and wife ran the place.
My Mother would drag me in almost every week to buy something after she got paid.

Lilaine's was owned by the Hartmans.  Howard and Ellie both worked in the store and they were brother and sister.  Back when you would see the mother (lilaine) in there.  She was the founder.  Ellie's son was a very accomplished pianist and attended BBHS.  His name was Alan Gerber.

I remember my mom dragging me there to get nightgowns. I liked cotton and she like polyester, oh the fights we had!

Was Alan related to Robert Gerber? I remember Robert being a really good singer in high school, Opera, I believe. I was in the BBHS Band with Robert
