I bet there are not many on this forum that remember Chappy's Luncheonette at the corner of John Street and Main Street from back in the day. You would have to be an old timer to remember it. There were times when I would sneak over to Chappy's for a hamburger rather then eat the school lunch at St. Joe's grammer school cafeteria. A hamburger at Chappy's was 25 cents I remember. Chappy's was right next door to Frascella's Liquor store to the right of it. Chappy was also a relative of the Frascella's.

Oh Yea, Chappy's was a regular stop on his way downtown for my Uncle. When I accompanied him, we would stop and Chappy would be behind the counter with the ever present cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth while he spoke. The ash was always about a foot long!! Chappy's wife was the sister of Duke Frascella's wife from Frascella electric if I am correct.
