I remember Dansaks well. For 10 cents you could buy a soft ice cream cone to your liking that would fill an adult back then during the 50's and 60's. Ice pops were 5 cents in so many flavors you had a hard time deciding what to pick. My favorites were Grape and Rootbeer.

Welcome to the Forum. I remember just about every Sunday night my Dad took us to Dansaks for HERSHEY"S ice cream. They don't have places like that anymore. I liked the wet walnuts too !!
OMG we lived at Dansak's! He had the best Italian ices. My friends (like joesdad) and cousins went there all the time. It was great and Mr. Dansak was good to the kids.
Dansak's was the best for chump change you could have Ice Cream Sundae & a pocket full of candy and still had a few pennies left for some Bazooka Bubble Gum.
It just came to my mind today when reading in this Yesterdays Bound Brook As You Remember It section of the forum that the so called Brown Cow type of Hershey ice cream popsicle sold at Dansaks Ice store was actually called a Banjo. It only cost 5 cents and it was vanilla ice cream on a popsicle stick covered with chocolate. Man I could taste one right now thinking back to yesterday in BB. How many of you can think back to the point that you actually see yourself standing in the store???Â
