Reward offered for information on suspect in two armed robberies in Somerset, Hunterdon counties

Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Somerset County Chief of Detectives Stuart Buckman and Bernards Township Chief of Police Brian Bobowitz state that the investigations regarding two armed robberies in Bernards Township and Clinton Borough are continuing.

Soriano states the first robbery occurred on March 14, 2012 at approximately 1:55 a.m. An attendant at the Martinsville Exxon service station on Martinsville Road in Bernards Township reported to police that he had been robbed at gun point by a passenger in a dark colored vehicle.

He described the suspect as dark skinned, approximately 5’9” in height, with facial hair and possibly wearing a “doo rag” on his head. Subsequent to removing currency from the attendant and the service station cash register, the suspect and the driver fled the area in a northerly direction on Martinsville Road.

With the assistance of the attendant, a composite sketch of the suspect has been released.
