Joe , long time family from BB, Romanos Bus company on VanKuren, died on Sunday..Joe was a friend and classmate I will miss him..drive safely my friend..
" BORN TO RAISE HELL " bikes, cars, boats he did it all....Ill see you again my friend ,,
Joe Romano was a friend of mine. Joe was the one who had the most influence on me back in the day during the 60's when it came to cars. In the mid 60's Joe drove a 1965 Corvette Convertible one of the nicest Corvette's I ever saw back then. Joe was always into Hot Cars and what have you. He use to race Hydroplanes (boats) also. Have to tell you as a kid it was the "Wow" factor that kicked in when Joe Romano came down the streets of Bound Brook in that '65 Coppertone colored Corvette with the Yellow Hydroplane in tow. I will never forget back then. I was 4 years younger then Joe not driving yet. Went to see Joe with some other friends race his Hydroplane on a lake in PA back then also. A sight to see I have to say. Joe will be missed by many. Rest in peace Joe.
