For those who remember him Tippy Curnow passed away last week after a long sickness. He was one of "The Good Guys" RIP my friend.
WILLIAM L. "TIPPY" CURNOW AGE: 63 BOUND BROOK William L. "Tippy" Curnow, 63, passed away on Friday, Aug. 14, 2009 surrounded by his loving wife and children at home after a long battle with Huntington's Disease. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA he moved to Bound Brook in the 1950's. Mr. Curnow owned and operated Curnow's Amoco in Bridgewater for 23yrs. He also co-owned and operated Curnow's II for many years. Having owned and driven a Sprint Car, he was an avid Nascar fan and loved to ride motorcycles. He is predeceased by his Father, William H. Curnow; Mother, Mabel Bomboy; Brother, David Curnow and a Sister, Donna M. Arthur. Surviving are his Beloved Wife, Lorraine C.; a son, Brian; daughter, Stephanie all of Bound Brook; brothers, Thomas H. (Linda) Curnow of Bridgewater, Robert (Rose) Bomboy of Warrior Run, PA; sisters, Cheryl (Doug) Smith of Piscataway, Susan Curnow and companion Jeff Stier of Hillsborough; brother-in-law, John S. (Patricia) Romancheck of Middlesex, NJ, and many nieces, nephews and their families. Funeral services were Entrusted to and were held privately for the immediate family at The South Plainfield James W. Conroy Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, PH # 908-756-2800. I remember Tippy well. I worked with him at Kemper Pontiac, then he opened the Amoca gas station on Rt 22. I also remember a 1966 GTO he had.. He was one of the "Good Guys".. RIP Tippy

I knew Tippy for well over 30 or so years and also did business with him. As Dixie Dude notes Tippy was one of the "Good Guys" out there. He will be sorely missed by many.
