Sunnyside market

Don't think we started a post on this one, remember Sunnyside. It was next to or close to Brachs, run by Norm and I believe his brother, forgot his name though. It was a small grocery store and butcher shop.

Yes, I do remember it! We didn't shop there very often but I do remember it. Wasn't the owner a nice, fun type of guy to be around. I remember that he was always smiling or laughing whenever I went there

The owners were the Corby's.  Grandkids Bob and Donna were close to my age maybe class of 74/75 BBHS.  They lived on High St.

Vernon "Pete" Corby co-owned Sunnyside Market with his brother Norman. Appreciate the kind remarks - not sure if they were directed at Pete or Norm, but they were both great guys!! "Pop-Pop" (as Pete's grandkids called him) had a great sense of humor and enjoyed fishing for carp. Lots of great memories

- Pete's grandson Derek

Pete Corby was my father and Norman Corby was my Uncle. Fond memories of putting up stock , riding along for deliveries and doing my homework at the store. Then my dad would drive me home. They were extremely busy during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays making awesome fruit baskets!
