Memory Lane

Just looking for some feedback to the New Memory Lane I most recently put into this forum. If you haven't gone there as of yet it is now located in the (New To Forum Section) up on top of this forum. If you like oldies (old Rock & Roll) you might want to check this section out. There is some really good video & sound there of some of the best Rock & Roll that I can remember from years gone past. Best thing is you don't have to search for it. Just click on to the Rock & Roll video you would like to see and sit back and reminisce.  smile

Thank you so much for starting this section. It is just GREAT seeing these Oldtime Video's from the 60's and all the memories it brings back. Keep up the GREAT work.  Dixie

I really enjoy some of those songs..to be honest some of them I remember because of my older sisters playing them. Here is an old memory..sometime in the early to mid sixties Frankie Valli was the Somerset County CYO entetainer of the year..I received an award for basketball that same year which was given to me by Frankie..I thought it was so cool that I got to shake his hand. Now I can't wait until Jersey boys comes to Boston.

Going back to the early 60's.. I grew up on Crescent Dr. in BB , and on the corner of Crescent Dr. and Thompson Ave. there was a big white house. I remember standing on the road looking through the bushes and watching 4 young guys singing on the back pourch. I was told the name of the group was "The Four Lovers" and they later became "The Four Seasons". One of the singers was Bobby De Leo. It was his parents house. Bobby left the group and went on to sing more so at a local level.

For some reason, I thought the group's name was the Brooks Four. I believe the group consisted of, now my spelling is probably not correct but here they are:

Bobby DiLeo
Frankie Delisi
Bob Palidino and
Frankie Geretta

Does anyone remember them? I remember that they sang in a lot of talent contests and were pretty good. Come on, help me out

I think the Memory Lane is a great feature on this forum.  I usually select songs to listen to while am working on other things on the computer and just let them play.  We (collectively) have great and diverse musical taste!

John
