What was the best thing about growing up in BB for you? For me I think it was just the overall sense of safety, security, being able to ride my bike where ever and when ever I wanted to, knowing so many people in town, just the small town feel. It was a great place to grow up. The park. the tree lined streets, the many italians, overall I just feel very lucky to have grown up there.

What a place it once was. Numerous factors lead to the demize of BB as I call it. Those who could have done some good only worried about their own personal agendas putting the town secondary. The outcome is obvious. Many including myself havent abandoned all hope yet,but its getting harder and harder to see any light at the end of the tunnel with some of the current conditions.
I agree, looking back to when I was a kid, I remember never being afraid to be out regardless of where I was or what time it was. In the summer we would be out until 10 or 11 just shooting the breeze with friends on the corner, under a streetlight or coming home from someone's house.I remember playing wiffleball under a street light sometimes until 9 or 930 at night. It was the general feeling of being secure and safe. Knowing just about everyone in town and everyone knowing your family and looking out for you. Unfortunately, you just don't have that today. I feel very lucky to have grown up in a town like Bound Brook
Avatar picture is my 1987 Buick Grand National pictured here in 2006 when I won the Tubro Street Modified Class at the Buick GS Nationals in Bowling Green KY. Car has run 9.64 at 140.11 mph.. Imagine this car sitting in Burger Chef on a Saturday night...
