Gregory's Music Store

Does anyone remember Gregory's Music store in Plainfield? I believe it was on Front St. It was a huge store that had a great collection of 45's back in the day and whenever I'd get a few bucks I'd take the bus, I think it was the 59 or 49 bus, from BB to Plainfield. Buy some records and take the bus back. They also carried every kind of musicial instrument that you could want. Just a great store at the time.

Zach I remember Gregory's Music Store. Glad you brought it up because I forgot all about it until your mention of it today. I purchased my first Fender Amplifier in that store back during the mid 60's. It definitely was a popular place to go to in the area back in the day. Good thread for this section.

Do I ever remember Gregory's.  Corner of Front and Grove.  I still have a 1972 Martin 12-string I got there used for $50.  Took sax lessons in the upstairs studios.  There aren't any places like that left in the world. no

My Mom bought my Alto Sax from Gregory's.
For a while, I took lessons in a music store in BB. It was first located on Main st and then moved around the corner to East st. Can't remember the name of the place. The guy who ran the store was named Jack, a real skinny, bald dude. Does anyone remember the place?
