Growing up we had 2 choices in Bound Brook. The Brook Theater which cost 22 cents and the Lyric Theater which cost 14 cents. Most of the time we went to the Lyric Theater. Most of us our best china came from either theater, because in those days thats where you got your dishes. Admission to the movies entitled you to a dish, if you wanted a extra dish you paid an additional 50 cents. While your watching the movie you'd hear a crash, somebodies dish fell. It was great fun growing up in BB.
My Mother and Grandmother would go to the Brook almost every week to collect anything that they were giving away at the time. But I do remember a number of different sets of dishes in my Grandmother's closets and outdoor shed
