Mechanical Drawing

Did anyone out there ever have the Mechanical Drawing class with Mr Furino?
He was a wild and crazy guy. Very short guy with a real temper when he was angry. Was also the varsity baseball and football coach.
I never really got the hang of the class; probably why to this day, I still can't  draw a straight line using a ruler

Oh Yeah, mechanical drawing.  Let's throw a seventh grader fresh out of the comfort of elementary school and one nurturing teacher into the madness of classroom changing every period and multiple teachers into a class where you have to draw an exploded view of a power drill and all it's inner workings!!!  It was scary for sure.  Didn't do too good in that class either Zach.  Probably why I always did abstracts in regular art class!   Had a fairly new teacher named Mr. Conway for Mech. drawing who was patient but realized the class wasn't suited for me.  I went to wood shop instead.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who really didn't get it. Had some of the same problems with the class as you fellows. I couldn't understand how it came easy to some guys especially a former classmate of mine from parochial school who actually took it to the next level that he still does for a living to this day. By the way I had a Mr. Simpson who taught the class back in '65-'66.weirdface
