The Sons of Italy

Does anyone remember The Sons of Italy on Second St?
I can't remember if I was ever in the place but I know it was usually crowded and a pretty popular spot at one time.
When my Mom and Aunts and Uncles were young, they would all go there for the weekend dances.

Zach,
I remember it well as a kid being an Italian.

Of course I remember the Sons of Italy.  Every communion, confirmation, 8th grade graduation, anniversary was held there.

My grandfather was the bartender.  Duffy.

He gave me free sasparillas.

Loved that bar.
