Hardies Hamburger Joint - - - Middlesex Rt 28

Should be more then a few here who remember the Hardies Hamburger joint on Rt 28 in Middlesex now occupied by Middlesex Texas Weiner for the last couple of decades. I use to like Hardies Hamburger on occasion with that genuine Charcoal taste. Don't know if the franchise is still around anymore. The last one I visited had to be back during the late 70's down in Toms River. Hardies of Middlesex was already closed down by then if I remember correctly.confused

Hardee's is very much still around, just not in NJ. They are like locusts from Delaware south. You wouldn't recognize it, though. No more char-broiling. Just a menu full of thick, dry, tasteless fried burgers. My son in VA calls them HARDLEE'S.

I agree. Hardees is all over the South. But as stated the burgers are just so so not like the original Charbroiled burger we all knew and Loved.  Dixie
