Ok, How many of you remember the Chatter Box on Maiden Lane in Bound Brook. You have to go pretty far back to remember it as it was up and running sometime between 1966 through 1968-69. I remember the set up in that place like it was yesterday. Really cool bar for the under 21 Crowd that served great Non-Alcoholic Drinks. It had a good size dance floor. One of the best things going for the teen crowd other then High School Dances and CYO Dances back in the day.

Was that located where the old Lyric Movie Theater was?
Thats exactly were it was located Zach upstairs. Downstairs at the time mid to later 60's there was a recording studio and a couple of Rock Bands rented rooms their also. The Mothers Little Helpers from the Bridgewater area and The Bad Boys from the Bound Brook area. The place was done up like new inside then. One of the Perone family owned the building at the time. Not 100% sure but I think it was owned by a Dominick Perone.

I ran into an old friend and in the conversation the Old Lyric Theater came up where The Chatter Box was located upstairs. As I mentioned in the beginning of this thread there was a recording studio downstairs. What I forgot to mention is a Bongiovi from Raritan ran the Bound Brook recording studio back in the day in the early to mid 60's. He was the uncle of John Bongiovi from the popular rock group (Bon Jovi). Later on the studio was taken over by someone with the Kemper last name that I remember from back then.
