Riverview Diner

Does anyone remember the Riverview Diner - it was the greatest hotspot after leaving the South Brook at 2am.

  Hey Linda
Welcome to the forum. How did you hear about it ? I remember the RiverView. I used to go there almost daily. They gave you plenty to eat. They had to move because on Enviormental issues with the property it set on. As you said a good place to stop after a night of cool one's in my case Town Tavern.

The Riverview?   French fries w/brown gravy, California Cheeseburgers, the owner of the place (Steve), we used to call him blinkers!!  The hostess (Ellie) was a real nice lady and we were regular customers with the bar crowd.  The waitresses were awful nice too.  There was Darlene, Sonya, Michelle (pretty lady from Israel), and Betty.  Betty last was working at the Golden Corner several years ago on Union Ave.

Funny story, I had been up in Bound Brook visiting then headed back to Florida.  I stopped for gas off I-95 somewhere in Virginia and who is in line at the register but Ellie the hostess!  She was on her way to Florida also!

On a personal note: TT made fountain at the Riverview.

Too funny - hated french fries with brown gravy - had to have ketchup.
Yes - TT made good fountain - I still laugh about it.  Those were the days.
Thanks John for inviting me into this forum --- didn't know Rolling Stones was my cousin - he and his vets.

I always look forward to French Fries and brown gravy. Here in Virginia when you try to order thet they look at you funny and say "What" They do have them @ the Milford Diner in Delaware on the way up to N.J also. Used to get them @ Bound Brook Diner !!
