BOUND BROOK -- Anthony D. Fratantuono Sr., 81, died Thursday (Feb. 16, 2006) at Integrated Health Systems in Bridgewater. Affectionately known at "Tony Frat," he was born in Bound Brook to Michael and Maria Fratantuono. He had lived in Bound Brook his entire life.
Tony was employed as a pipe fitter for Johns-Manville for 44 years and retired in 1985.
He had served his country in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was a longtime member of the former Monte Carmello Society in Bound Brook and a communicant of St. Joseph Church.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife, the former Dolores Garry; his daughter, Phyllis (Daniel) Picasso of Hillsborough; his son, Anthony D. Jr., of Annandale; and a grandson, Lee.
Funeral services will begin 9 a.m. Monday at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Joseph Church. Interment will be in Bound Brook Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
