Bring your date to the 208. That was the saying. On the West end across the tracks. My Uncle owned it back in the 60's it was Country/Western. I remember meeting Patsy Kline back in 1960 before she was really famous. Later on it was the Time Machine.
Don't forget it was also called the Hideaway and the Rock Machine. For the younger crowd who have no clue of what we are talking about this Club was located off of West Main Street. You needed to take Vosseler Ave across the Railroad tracks and then make a right and a quick left down the hill. Right now I guess you would call that area a flood plain. I am pretty sure they made some ball fields down there but I haven't been down that hill in more years then I can remember. I can say one thing that place use to Hop on weekends. People came from all around to go there. It was the perfect place since it was basically out of the neighborhoods. Just think Patsy Kline was there to perform. A little bit of BB History.
